- Although gratuity is not expected, it is always greatly appreciated. You may give tips directly to your therapist or it may be held securely at our front desk.
- Spa Etiquette
Essential Massage Therapy is a place of quiet relaxation. Please be considerate of others and turn off cell phones and pagers when in our office.
We love your children, but unfortunately our office cannot accommodate watching them during your appointment. (Massages are available for children 17 years of age and under with written parental permission.)
- Gift Certificates
Gift certificates are available for purchase and make a great gift. They do, however, expire within one year of purchase and we cannot extend the expiration date. We apologize, but gift certificates cannot be replaced if lost.
- Late Arrivals
Appointment times have been arranged specifically for you. If you arrive late your session may be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours. Depending upon how late you arrive, your therapist will then determine if there is enough time remaining to start a treatment. Regardless of the length of treatment actually given, you will be responsible for the full session.
Anyone who either forgets or consciously chooses to forgo their appointment for whatever reason will be considered a no-show. They may be charged the full service amount for their missed appointment and future service will be denied until payment is made.
We understand that unanticipated events happen occasionally in everyone’s life. Business meetings, project deadlines, flight delays, car problems, snowstorms, and illness are just a few reasons why one might consider canceling an appointment. In our desire to be effective and fair to all of our clients and out of consideration for our therapists’ time, we have adopted the following policies:
- 24-hour advance notice is required when canceling an appointment. This allows the opportunity for someone else to schedule an appointment.
- If you are unable to give us 24 hours advance notice you will be charged a 50% cancellation fee. When canceling an appointment, you are more then welcome to schedule for a future date, however this amount must be paid prior to your next scheduled appointment.
- Evenings and Weekends
Because evening and weekend appointments are in high demand you may be asked to give a credit card to hold your appointment. These are held in complete confidentiality. Nothing will be charged to your card permitted the cancellation policy is followed.
