Kelly graduated from Irene’s Myomassology Institute in April 2026 and is continuing to expand her education through oncology massage training with Corewell Health Integrative Medicine, as well as advanced lymphatic drainage techniques.
Kelly’s passion for massage is deeply personal. As a breast cancer survivor, she experienced firsthand the difference therapeutic massage can make during recovery. That experience inspired her career change and gave her a special desire to support other women navigating breast cancer treatment and recovery.
Before becoming a massage therapist, Kelly spent more than two decades as a public librarian, working with both children and adults. She especially enjoyed leading children’s storytime and adult book groups—and thankfully, she still gets plenty of opportunities to talk about books with her fellow book-loving therapists at Essential!
When she’s not in the massage room, Kelly enjoys gardening, baking, reading, decorating her home with vintage finds, and watching Detroit Tigers
