About the owner, Lisa Boyd
Growing up working for a chiropractor since the age of 15, she gained invaluable insights into the importance of relaxing muscles for lasting adjustments. Witnessing firsthand the profound impact of massage therapy on people’s lives, she knew she had found her passion.
After earning her associates in vehicle design and realizing her true calling lay in helping people in pain, she decided to pursue massage school. In September 2003, at just 21 years old, she took a bold step and opened Essential with the simple goal of keeping herself busy.
What began as a personal endeavor has flourished into something beyond her wildest dreams. Essential has become a place of healing and education, thanks to the support of a dedicated team who shares her philosophy of helping and educating others through massage therapy.
Today, she stands proud as the founder of a 20 year old, female-owned small business, grateful for the journey and the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others. Here’s to strong women everywhere – may we continue to inspire and uplift each other!
